The Abrasive Wheels training is designed to support the safety of individuals working with rotary grinding and cutting equipment.  The standard for this training was developed in collaboration with employers and stakeholders from across the energy and utility sector.

This Asbestos Awareness training aims to assist employers in fulfilling their legal duty of care under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. It provides essential training for all employees who are, or may be, exposed to asbestos during their work. The training ensures that employees understand the health impacts.

2 Day Training Course Classroom Based

The EUSR approved training course will provide CCTV operatives with the ability to fully understand the practical aspects of a CCTV investigation, the ability to accurately identify defects, apply the correct codes and to make a condition assessment of the pipe with an appropriate repair recommendation. This course includes domestic and commercial surveys which also includes schools, colleges, hospitals, housing estates, industrial estates and private drainage systems up to 9″ or 225mm diameter.

There is a need in the drainage industry for companies that carry out domestic and light commercial CCTV Surveys to prove their competence in the area of CCTV investigation through a recognised qualification. The course has been designed in conjunction with WRC.

It is fully compliant with the Domestic Drain Code section of the Manual of Sewer Condition Classification 5th Edition.

2 Day Training - First Day Online, second day Classroom Based

The Confined Spaces training provides individuals and employers with assurance of the level of technical competence achieved by individuals who enter, supervise, or manage work in low, medium, or high risk confined spaces. A confined space is any space of an enclosed nature which can be dangerous.

This COSHH Awareness training is designed to help employers fulfil their legal duty of care under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 2002. It ensures that Individuals understand the COSHH Regulations and requirements including the employer’s responsibility to control substances that are hazardous to health.

1 Day Course can be conducted Classroom Based or online

This is 1 x day classroom based Procedural Awareness Training Course which covers the best practical & safe procedures to adopt when carrying out excavation / repair works prior to, & during, any works whereby defects in pipework have been identified & subsequently require a repair.

1 Day Course can be conducted Classroom Based or online.

This is a 1x day course designed to give new and existing operatives a good understanding of the safety implications of High-Pressure Water Jetting. This course is designed in line with the WRC Manual of Drain and Sewer Cleaning.

Manual Handling Awareness training is designed to equip individuals with the necessary knowledge to safely transport or support loads using hand or bodily force. This includes tasks such as lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling, moving, or carrying loads. With approximately 17% of employee injuries occurring during manual handling activities.

National Water Hygiene (NWH) training which is also known as a ‘Blue Card’ plays a vital part in ensuring the protection of public health and promoting good water hygiene practices. The scheme has been developed in collaboration with all UK water companies. UK water companies require individuals to be trained to this standard.

Safety, Health & Environmental Awareness (SHEA) Core training is a one-day training programme designed for individuals who require access to operational sites, both permanent and temporary, at all levels including operatives, supervisors and managers. It provides evidence that an individual has demonstrated that an understanding has been met.

SHEA Drains and Sewers is a one-day Health, Safety and Environmental Awareness training for those working on operational sites and is a CSCS affiliated.  It is developed in collaboration with employers and key stakeholders from across the drainage sector.

SHEA Power is our one-day Health, Safety and Environmental Awareness training for those working on operational sites and is a CSCS affiliated.  It is developed in collaboration with employers and key stakeholders from across the industries in the power sector.

SHEA Telecommunications is a one-day Health, Safety and Environmental Awareness training for those working on operational sites and is a CSCS affiliated.   It is developed in collaboration with employers and key stakeholders from across the telecommunications industries, so the content is relevant to all working in this sector.

SHEA Water is a one-day Health, Safety and Environmental Awareness training for those working on operational sites and is a CSCS Alliance scheme.  It is developed in collaboration with employers and key stakeholders from across the industries in the water sector.

1 Day Course Classroom Based with a practical element

This course is designed with embodying the environmental protection Act 1990 requirements for reporting spillage events. This is an awareness course, however the delegates have the opportunity to be involved in Scenario based learning, where they practice on how to contain spills (for environmental purposes a non-hazardous substance of water and drain dye and neutralising it)

2 Day Course – Day one Safety Awareness Online, Day two Practical Based

(Certificate produced after both days courses have been completed)

COURSE EXAMINATION:  Candidates are examined on their knowledge using the CLiKAPAD digital response tool.
