M D Services Drain 1 x day excavation and repair awareness training covers essential safety regulations, risk assessment, and technical methods for repairing underground drainage systems. Key topics include trench collapse prevention, identifying underground utilities (HSG47), safe excavation techniques, CCTV inspection (MSCC5), and structural repair methods like pipelining or patch repairs.
Key Training Modules Include
- Safety & Compliance: Understanding CDM regulations, risk assessments, and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Excavation Safety: Preventing cave-ins, safe shoring techniques, edge protection, and managing hazardous atmospheres.
- Underground Services: Identifying, locating, and avoiding existing pipes and cables (need for using CAT and Genny).
- Drainage Assessment: Basic concepts, CCTV survey techniques, and coding damage (need to understand MSCC5 CCTV pipeline coding principals.)
- Repair Techniques:
- Excavation: Proper shoring, backfilling, and reinstatement.
- No-Dig (Trenchless): Drain lining preparation, resin & lining management, and insertion methods
- Industry Standards: EUSR Drains & Sewers training.
